About Us
G Whiteford & Sons is a 5 generation farming business based around a secure agricultural tenancy of Inch Farm on Balcaskie Estate in Fife. The presence of the Whitefords at Inch Farm dates back to the 1930’s when ancestors transported their herd of dairy cows on a train from a farm near Newton Mairns on the west of Scotland.
Andrew Whiteford is the 4th generation and is the current custodian of the tenancy and is responsible for managing the business. His philosophy to running his business is centered on an effective output of food produced on the land whilst balancing out the environmental impact through the use of conservation schemes and renewable energy installations.

The Farm
Our farm, located in the Firth of Forth region of Scotland, is home to a diverse range of agricultural products. With 160 Ha of volcanic soil ranging from grade 2 black sand to grade 4 blue clay, our geologically diverse land offers great opportunities for production. The farm's watercourse, the Dreel Burn and its tributaries, allow for irrigation of high output vegetable crops. In addition to our focus on agriculture, we also prioritize conservation efforts, dedicating over 20% of the farm to supporting local wildlife. Experience the best of Scotland's agriculture and conservation at our farm.
